Long Multi-Stage Training for a Motor-Impaired User in a BCI Competition

چکیده

In a Mental Imagery Brain-Computer Interface the user has to perform specific mental task that generates electroencephalography (EEG) components, which can be translated in commands control BCI system. The development of high-performance MI-BCI requires long training, lasting several weeks or months, order improve ability manage his/her tasks. This works aims present design combining imaginary and cognitive tasks for severely motor impaired user, involved race Cybathlon event, competition people with severe disability. BCI-race, becomes pilot virtual game against up three other pilots, each car by We all procedures followed realize an effective MI-BCI, from user's first contact technology actually controlling video-game through her EEG. defined multi-stage user-centered training protocol successfully BCI, even stressful situation, such as competition. put focus on human aspects influenced phase system participation

The Impact of Different Visual Feedbacks in User Training on Motor Imagery Control in BCI

The challenges of research into brain-computer interfaces (BCI) include significant individual differences in learning pace and in the effective operation of BCI devices. The use of neurofeedback training is a popular method of improving the effectiveness BCI operation. The purpose of the present study was to determine to what extent it is possible to improve the effectiveness of operation of s...

Neurofeedback-based motor imagery training for brain-computer interface (BCI).

In the present study, we propose a neurofeedback-based motor imagery training system for EEG-based brain-computer interface (BCI). The proposed system can help individuals get the feel of motor imagery by presenting them with real-time brain activation maps on their cortex. Ten healthy participants took part in our experiment, half of whom were trained by the suggested training system and the o...

A mixed integer linear programming formulation for a multi-stage, multi-Product, multi-vehicle aggregate production-distribution planning problem

In today’s competitive market place, companies seek an efficient structure of supply chain so as to provide customers with highest value and achieve competitive advantage. This requires a broader perspective than just the borders of an individual company during a supply chain. This paper investigates an aggregate production planning problem integrated with distribution issues in a supply chain ...

A tensor-based scheme for stroke patients' motor imagery EEG analysis in BCI-FES rehabilitation training.

BACKGROUND Stroke is one of the most common disorders among the elderly. A practical problem in stroke rehabilitation systems is that how to separate motor imagery patterns from electroencephalographic (EEG) recordings. There is a sharp decline in performance of these systems when classical algorithms, such as Common Spatial Pattern (CSP), are directly applied on stroke patients. NEW METHOD W...
